What should I expect?
Worship is typically one hour and includes praise and traditional music, a sermon, and prayer. Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. El Paso UMC practices open communion - all who love Christ are welcome to participate.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Dress is casual.
What about my kids?
We have a nursery for children up to 4 years old, it is below the Fellowship Hall. Kids 4 and under can be taken to the nursery before the worship service starts. We have Kid's Church for 5 to 12 year olds. The 5 to 12 years old start in the Sanctuary with the adults and move to the Fellowship Hall after the Praise Band finishes. There is a lesson designed for kids that will guide them in learning about God’s love in fun, creative ways. The service is structured like the adult service - we read a Bible passage, have a lesson, pray and sing some fun upbeat songs. There is a lot more freedom for kids to participate, ask questions and move around and still learn about the love of Jesus Christ.
